What are Backdraft Dampers used for?

Backdraft Dampers attach to inline ventilation systems in order to keep exhaust filtered air out of your grow room. It helps to prevent bugs and outside air from entering through your grow room exhaust. When fans are turned off it is possible for outside air to enter your grow room, however utilizing a Backdraft Damper will stop this. Likewise, when fitted with a carbon filter this will also help to control grow room odors and prevent untreated air from leaving your grow room.

Where can Backdraft Dampers be used?

Backdraft Dampers are for use within professional hydroponic systems to control air flow in and out of your grow room. They are very easy to install, simply install the damper downstream from your fan, so that once turned on the airflow opens the damper and when airflow stops the damper closes. This successfully keeps any unwanted air and bugs outside your grow room.
